Residential Energy Code Training for BDASI

We have been asked again to do a presentation for builders and subcontractors on Indiana's residential energy code, which is based upon the 2009 IECC, and how HERS Ratings are used in the code compliance process.  The class will be taught by our President Eric George.

Discussed will be the residential energy code for Indiana and specifically the difference between the "prescriptive path" and "performance path" compliance methods.  Topics to cover will include: insulation requirements and best practices, building air-sealing and testing requirements, window & door requirements, HVAC requirements like heating & cooling load calculations, duct-sealing & leakage-testing requirements, and also how HERS Ratings are used in the "performance path" to verify energy code compliance.

The presenation qualifies for 3 CEU's and will be held on November 17th from 9am to 12pm at the Building & Development Association of Southern Indiana:

5150  Charlestown Rd, Suite 3B
New Albany, IN 47150
